The Out of Shape Active Duty Navy PRT Training Packet includes two linked training plans, totaling 9 weeks of training to prepare you for the Navy PRT. The first Navy workout plan is designed to build your fitness to handle the volume and intensity of the Navy PRT Training Plan that follows. You should begin this packet the 9 weeks before your Navy PRT.
This Navy workout plan is tailored for active duty sailors looking to rebuild fitness and confidently tackle the PRT. Over 9 weeks, the packet develops strength, endurance, and event-specific performance for push-ups, sit-ups, the front plank, and your chosen endurance option—run, swim, or row. For your convenience, this training packet includes training options for whether you choose the Run, Swim, or Row as part of your PRT.
The packet includes:
- Out of Shape Active Duty On Ramp Training Plan – 4 Weeks: Prepares athletes for the volume and intensity of the US Navy PRT Training Plan. Deploys Bodyweight Flow, Work Capacity, Bodyweight Core Strength, and Endurance training.
- US Navy PRT Training Plan – 5 Weeks: Designed to train specifically for the U.S. NAVY’S PHYSICAL READINESS TEST (PRT). This program is “sport-specific” with the sole objective of improving your score on the PRT. This plan reflects the changes with the addition of the Front Plank and endurance exercise substitutes (Swim and Row). It is imperative that in the endurance event which has a choice option (Run, Swim, Row) you complete the PRT’s with that exercise, as well as the follow-on progressions in the training plan.
The Navy PRT Training Plan includes a de-load/taper week, so the candidate can complete the programming leading directly up to the start date of the PRT.
The price for this packet represents a 20% savings over purchasing the plans individually.
